crowd on Main Street

The group organising the #march4tipp are arranging a second march to take place next Saturday (24 November). The group has decided to change the route of the march to support the shops in the town. The march will now bring people into the centre of the town, rather than away from it.

The march will start at 2pm in the Plan and end up in the Market Yard, where a short speech will be made. The group also feels that the shorter route will allow people to be able to do a bit of shopping and attend the turning on of the Christmas lights, which starts at 4pm.

The group has also published its accounts to date.

INCOME

Go Fund Me Donations  €3,141.00
Go Fund Me Processing Fee -€111.63

TOTAL  €3,029.37

EXPENDITURE

March Logistics
PA/Hoist/ Health and Safety €1,030.96

TOTAL  €2,459.76
Surplus (Deficit)  €569.61

The surplus is being used to meet costs for the second march. Any shortfall will be donated by the group's members.  The group is very grateful for the kind donations of so many people and wanted to publish the accounts to let people know how the money was used.  The march that took place on 20 October could not have been such a successful event without the funds raised.  The group is also grateful to the businesses that either gave their services free of charge, or at substantial discounts.
